Our client, an international manufacturing company, is looking for someone to join their purchasing team on a permanent basis. With on site parking and a huge range of company benefits available, this is an exciting role for a customer-oriented individual, with drive, determination and the ability to pick things up quickly. Graduates with a relevant degree will be considered.
You will be managing and acting upon the demands for all purchased materials, components and services, as well as creating and delivering cost reduction initiatives in line with company objectives. You will participate in regular meetings and communicate any actions or outcomes to the business. As well as liaising with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply for operations, you will also cover for the Materials Manager taking responsibility for all decision making. This will include completing purchasing reviews, making sure all requests are acted upon in a timely manner and ensuring priorities are effectively communicated.
Experience in the electronics and PCB industry are desirable as is a basic knowledge of using ERP systems, however full training will be given. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, be numerate and have great attention to detail.
