We are partnering with a leading UK health charity on an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Head of Services to lead the development, delivery and innovation of its patient and health professional support services. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone with experience in health services or long-term conditions who wants to shape and transform support pathways at a national level.

The role:
• Provide strategic leadership for a broad portfolio of patient and healthcare professional support services
• Work closely with the Director of Charitable Impact to drive service quality, innovation, accessibility and reach
• Ensure patients, families and professionals receive evidence-based, needs-led support throughout the care pathway
• Lead a home-based function with occasional travel and influence national service delivery and improvement
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of patient-facing support services
• Create innovative new services and digital solutions that enhance reach and engagement
• Oversee clinical support services, peer support programmes, online communities and educational initiatives
• Build strong relationships across NHS pathways, primary care and multidisciplinary teams
• Drive high-quality monitoring, evaluation and service impact measurement
• Manage and develop a high-performing multidisciplinary team
• Oversee budgets, business planning and operational performance
• Champion inclusion, accessibility and evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with fundraising, communications and digital teams to maximise service visibility and sustainability
About you:
• Significant experience developing and delivering patient-focused support services
• Experience in the health sector, ideally including cancer or long-term conditions
• A track record of service design, co-production and digital innovation
• Strong strategic planning and evaluation skills
• Experience leading and developing teams, including clinical staff
• Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of psychosocial support needs and healthcare pathways
