Our client is a well-established UK retailer with a strong brand presence and ambitious growth plans. Operating in a fast-moving retail environment, the business employs around 150 people and continues to evolve as it scales.
They are now looking to appoint a part-qualified HR Advisor to take ownership of a broad HR remit and support the business through its next stage of growth.

The role:
Reporting into senior leadership, the HR Advisor will manage the HR function end-to-end, providing practical and commercially focused HR support across the business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working autonomously, balancing empathy with robustness while ensuring best practice and compliance.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, supporting people matters across the full employee lifecycle in a busy, high-energy environment.
Key responsibilities:
Employee relations:
• Managing employee relations cases end-to-end, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and capability matters
• Providing clear, pragmatic HR advice to managers
• Supporting employee wellbeing while maintaining commercial outcomes
HR operations and processes:
• Owning and managing HR processes and systems to ensure they are efficient and compliant
• Reviewing, updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures
• Drafting, reviewing and updating employment contracts and HR documentation
Performance and reviews:
• Supporting performance review processes across the business
• Advising managers on performance management and development planning
Recruitment:
• Managing recruitment activity from role brief through to offer
• Supporting hiring managers with interviews, selection and onboarding
• Ensuring a positive candidate and new starter experience
General HR support:
• Acting as a first point of contact for employees on HR-related queries
• Maintaining accurate HR records and reporting
• Supporting HR projects linked to business growth and change
About you:
Essential:
• Part-qualified in HR, CIPD Level 5 or working towards
• Proven experience in a broad HR Advisor role
• Experience managing HR activity end to end
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law
• Confidence handling ER cases independently
• Highly organised, proactive and resilient
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Empathetic, professional and confident communicator
Desirable:
• Background in retail or a similarly fast-moving commercial environment
• Experience working in a business of around 100–200 employees
