Our client is looking for an Accounts & Office Administrator to support the smooth running of their accounts and office functions.

Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am–3pm with 1/2 hr for lunch, and Friday 8:30am–1:30pm.
(Ideally, our client would like someone to start on 5th January, allowing time for a full handover - however, this is not essential).
The role:
You will support day-to-day accounts activity and administrative processes, taking ownership of a wide range of tasks that keep operations running efficiently. This is a varied position covering finance support, customer setup, logistics coordination and general office duties.
Key responsibilities:
Accounts and finance administration:
• Daily processing and data entry for sales and purchase ledgers
• Ensuring goods are booked in and recorded accurately
• Making supplier payments and updating SAGE
• Chasing outstanding debtors and keeping accounts up to date
• Working with the central accounts team to support month-end processes
• Matching purchase orders with supplier invoices and raising queries where required
• Circulating daily and weekly sales figures and open order book values
Office and administrative support:
• Setting up new customers on the system
• Printing and issuing delivery notes, booking transport and coordinating logistics
• Answering incoming calls and managing daily post
• Monitoring shared email inboxes
• Tracking employee timesheets and processing them for payment
• Ensuring company machinery has up-to-date safety certification
• Supporting audits and internal stock takes
• Acting as a first point of contact for IT queries
• Managing stock and ordering stationery, PPE and workshop workwear
About you:
• Strong administrative experience, ideally within accounts or office support
• Experience using SAGE or similar software is beneficial
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Confident communicator with a proactive, positive attitude
• Able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• A reliable team player who is happy to get involved
