A rewarding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing & Communications Specialist to lead a strategic communications function within a well-established organisation focused on education.
This is an office-based role working closely with senior leadership to shape internal and external communications. You’ll help strengthen brand awareness and increase engagement with key audiences through purposeful, high-quality content and campaigns.
The role:
You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s marketing and communications strategy, overseeing the delivery of consistent, engaging messaging across all platforms. From social media and paid advertising to staff engagement and stakeholder reporting, this is a role with real variety and the chance to make a difference.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the annual marketing and communications strategy
- Act as the in-house communications expert across key projects and initiatives
- Create high-quality content for digital, print and internal audiences
- Manage and grow the organisation’s social media presence and paid campaigns
- Work closely with fundraising and external partners to deliver aligned messaging
- Maintain and evolve brand identity and visual consistency across all materials
- Oversee the work of an external design consultant and support teams with branded assets
- Manage website content, usability and design in line with user experience best practice
- Monitor performance across all channels and prepare reports for senior stakeholders
- Enhance internal communications and improve staff engagement across the organisation
The ideal candidate:
- Degree in marketing, communications or a related subject
- Proven experience leading a marketing and communications function
- Strong knowledge of digital tools and platforms, including social media and Google Analytics
- Excellent writing, editing and presentation skills
- Experience managing website content and understanding of UX principles
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and basic video creation tools
