We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Private Client Secretary to join this reputable and professional firm of solicitors. This is a full-time role supporting one fee earner within the Private Client department, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents through audio dictation and copy typing
- Maintain an organised and efficient filing system, including opening, closing, storing and retrieving client files in line with office procedures
- Draft and send out letters, enclosures, and documentation as required
- Answer incoming calls, deal with routine client enquiries, and provide a professional first point of contact
- Organise diaries, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings for your fee earner
- Manage daily administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department
- Communicate effectively with clients and third parties, always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Provide cover for other legal secretaries within the business when necessary
Key Skills Required:
- Have previous audio typing experience in a secretarial role
- Good IT ability
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Be flexible, dependable, and committed to delivering high standards of client service
