We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Private Client Secretary to join this reputable and professional firm of solicitors. This is a full-time role supporting one fee earner within the Private Client department, providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents through audio dictation and copy typing
  • Maintain an organised and efficient filing system, including opening, closing, storing and retrieving client files in line with office procedures
  • Draft and send out letters, enclosures, and documentation as required
  • Answer incoming calls, deal with routine client enquiries, and provide a professional first point of contact
  • Organise diaries, schedule appointments, and arrange meetings for your fee earner
  • Manage daily administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the department
  • Communicate effectively with clients and third parties, always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
  • Provide cover for other legal secretaries within the business when necessary

Key Skills Required:

  • Have previous audio typing experience in a secretarial role
  • Good IT ability
  • Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Be flexible, dependable, and committed to delivering high standards of client service
