Are you passionate about events fundraising and keen to make an immediate impact within a thriving charity team? We’re looking for an experienced Events Fundraising Officer to join a busy and supportive Public Fundraising department on a 4-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a varied portfolio of challenge events and play a central role in raising vital funds to support people affected by serious illness.

You’ll join a collaborative Events team that generates around £1 million annually, supporting the delivery of runs, cycles, treks and other UK-based challenges. If you enjoy building relationships, writing engaging communications, and have a sharp eye for detail, this role could be for you.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and deliver a range of challenge events, such as half marathons, treks and cycling challenges
- Support project planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting against agreed KPIs
- Work closely with Marketing & Communications to ensure events are effectively promoted
- Create and deliver engaging supporter stewardship journeys to maximise income and retention
- Maintain accurate data records and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations
- Represent the charity at events (occasional evenings/overnight stays required)
About you
- Experience in fundraising (events fundraising desirable) or transferable project management skills
- Proven ability to work to KPIs, income targets and budgets
- Skilled in writing engaging supporter communications and stewardship plans
- Confident communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Strong IT skills, including databases and MS Office

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your fundraising expertise into a busy events team and make a meaningful contribution over the next 4 months. Our client is open to the role being fully remote, but ideally they would like someone who can travel into London one day per week (Wednesday)
