We’re looking for an experienced Events Fundraising Officer to join a busy and supportive Public Fundraising department on a 4-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver a varied portfolio of challenge events and play a central role in raising vital funds to support people affected by serious illness.

You’ll join a collaborative Events team that generates around £1 million annually, supporting the delivery of runs, cycles, treks and other UK-based challenges. If you enjoy building relationships, writing engaging communications, and have a sharp eye for detail, this role could be for you.

Key responsibilities

  • Support project planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting against agreed KPIs
  • Work closely with Marketing & Communications to ensure events are effectively promoted
  • Create and deliver engaging supporter stewardship journeys to maximise income and retention
  • Maintain accurate data records and ensure compliance with fundraising regulations
  • Represent the charity at events (occasional evenings/overnight stays required)

About you

  • Experience in fundraising (events fundraising desirable) or transferable project management skills
  • Proven ability to work to KPIs, income targets and budgets
  • Skilled in writing engaging supporter communications and stewardship plans
  • Confident communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills, including databases and MS Office

Personal qualities

  • Positive, collaborative and motivated team player
  • Able to work independently and adapt to changing priorities
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional supporter experiences
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and the values of the charity sector

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your fundraising expertise into a busy events team and make a meaningful contribution over the next 4 months. Our client is open to the role being fully remote, but ideally they would like someone who can travel into London one day per week (Wednesday)
