We’re excited to be supporting a leading charity in their search for a Events Support Assistant to join their fundraising team on a fixed-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take their first step into the world of fundraising while making a real impact.

As the first point of contact for supporters, you’ll play a key role in ensuring fundraisers feel valued, supported, and appreciated through excellent communication and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for supporters via phone and email
  • Manage supporter inboxes, responding promptly and accurately
  • Support fundraisers with information, guidance, and encouragement
  • Thank supporters for their gifts and fundraising activities
  • Maintain accurate supporter records on the database
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, events, and fulfilment tasks
  • Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and GDPR guidance

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous customer service experience (essential)
  • Ideally, experience working within a fundraising team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Confident IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams; CRM experience desirable)
  • A warm, friendly manner and a genuine passion for supporting people
  • Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload in a team environment
